Laundry, Chicken Tacos and stress

Hello my beautiful people! I Hope you all are having an amazing day today! Today has been very stressful for me - So glad that the day is soon over. I've had laundry all day > washed up the clothes, blankets etc and waow.. I had no idea it would take HOURS to get the machines to clean the clothes etc. Something is wrong with the machines so here I am right now. I've called and made a wrong report on it. I don't know what it calls on english to be honest.

Emilio is sleeping over at a friend's place for two nights - I miss him so much! He left today and is coming home again on friday! So today's dinner (finally!) I had CHICKEN TACOS WITH CHEESE SAUCE! Finally! Long time ago! 1,5 years!

Weird post I know but my head is so slow right now. I feel like I'm gonna fall asleep soon. Haha!

Last night  I made (Not done yet, I think) a PDF file that will be soon avalible to download and print out. I will make a whole new post about that one later but for now, I'm gonna work on it and fix so it will look better.

How to bake this traditional cake of Sweden

I love to bake. Cakes, cookies etc. You name it. Today I decided to bake a traditional cake in Sweden. Kärleksmums (this cake has many names but most people say this name).

Down below you can read the recipe and how to make it.
I don’t know if you have this cake where you live but this is
a traditional soft cake on the table for Swedish fika.

The recipe is valid for 30 pieces

225 g Butter
2 dl milk
5 eggs
4½ dl of sugar
1½ tablespoon vanilla sugar
1¼ dl cocoa
3 teaspoon baking soda
6 dl wheat flour

Glaze:

75 g Butter
¾ dl strong coffee
½ dl cocoa
1½ tablespoon vanilla sugar
5 dl icing sugar

Garnish:
1 dl coconut flakes

How do bake

1. Set the oven to 175 °.

2. Grease and brush a high-edge shape, 25×30 cm or place in a baking sheet. (the pan)

3. Melt the butter, pour into the milk and let it cool.

4. Beat eggs and sugar puffy, preferably with electric mixer. Sift down vanilla sugar, cocoa, baking soda and flour through a sieve. Add butter and milk and mix all to a smooth smear.

5. Pour the batter into the mold. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes.

Glaze:

1. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add coffee, cocoa, vanilla sugar and icing sugar and mix well.

2. Remove the cake from the oven, leave it for a while. Wide the glaze over the hot cake and sprinkle the coconut flakes.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Maybe you feel like to try bake it? Let me know 😊 I would love to hear!

Taste by India ~ Garam Masala

As you might know (if you know me irl or have read the info about me on the right side of my blog), my husband are from Punjab, India. He use only spices - non fabric / bag spices. I don't know how to explain. Anyway, our son loves strong food especially with spices from M's country. So today I decided to make a homemade Garam Masala from the beginning.

I noticed I forgot to take picture on all the spices. Typical me. I took photos on everything else but not that. Ugh. Oh well.. If you want to do this dish but don't have all the spices, I have a tip for you! I don't know how it is where you live but in Sweden we have a brand named Santa Maria and they actually have a "bag" with all the spices mixed and ready to put in the food. On their bag it says you should add ~ Chick peas, spinach, hallumi and cream ~ but I never add those stuff.  Instead I add those ingredients I like ~ Chicken breasts, onion, mushrooms and carrots. So this recipe will be written with that.

You will need {to do mine}
English     3 big chicken breasts, 8 mushrooms, 3 - 4 big onions. 5 big and thick carrots. Cream 5dl. Spices; Ginger, Cumin, Coriander, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Carnation, Salt, Peppers, Onions, Garlic and Sugar.

Remember to add the spices that suits YOU! I never measure the spices, I just add them to my food so important that you have to taste and feel how it is like you want it. BUT Never try it on the chicken!

English;
Chicken Breasts ~ Defrost them in boiling hot water for quicker, 30mins (or more, depending on how warm water you use) before you can use them.  Meanwhile,
1. Cut and chop the onions into small/medium sizes.
2. Cut and chop the mushrooms. Not thin!
  { put them on the same plate. Add Black Pepper on top ~ see the pics }
3. Cut the carrots and put them on the side.
4. Turn on the stove on full heat. Take a pan, add butter and let it melt completely.
5. Fry the onions and mushrooms together
6. Turn down the heat to medium. Stir and fry the onions and mushrooms til they get golden brown.
Meanwhile, cut the chicken breasts into medium sizes. NOT THIN! Important!
7. Spice them with black pepper, Cayenne pepper, onion, garlic, cardemom and cinnamon. And let it set for few minutes.
8. Put the onions and mushrooms back on the plate and now
9. Add a lot of butter and Dump the chicken in the fryer. Stie often and make sure it doesn't burn. Add more butter if needed. Put a lid on but check it often and stir.  Let it it boil in the water that comes from the chicken and butter.
10. After a while, add the onions and mushrooms.
11. Add the cream and the carrots and stir. Turn down the heat to low but not too low! Add some spices and mix it all together.

After a while, taste it and add more spices if you want more taste. Let it cook on low for 20 mins. In meanwhile, boil the rice, fix salad etc.

Swedish
Kycklingbröst ~ Defrosta dem i hett vatten i snabbare 30 minuter (eller mer, beroende på hur varmt vatten du använder) innan du kan använda dem.  Under tiden,

 1. Skär lökarna i små / medelstora storlekar. ● 2. Skär svampen.  Inte tunn  {lägg dem på samma tallrik.  Krydda med svartpeppar över dom ~ se bilderna ● 3. Skär morötterna och lägg dem på sidan. ● 4. ● Skär samtidigt kycklingbrösten i medelstora storlekar.  INTE TUNNViktig! ● 7.

Under tiden, koka riset, fixa sallad etc.

{ left } Onions and Mushrooms together / {  right } the chicken together before cream.

Final result 👏🏻 so yummy! So tasty!
